OSHA Silica Compliance

June 23, 2018 OSHA began enforcing a new regulation requiring that the amount of airborne silica, a dust released when cutting concrete, be reduced to 1/5 the previous standard. For my biggest challenge at Tindall, I established new process and procedures to make our main production lines and dry finish department silica compliant. I also conducted trainings for these new procedures and updated time standards to account for the changes.
