Putting engineering to good use in the community
Geaux Big
LSU's way of giving back to Baton Rouge
I, along with other members of the Society of Peer Mentors (SPM) and the Society of Women Engineers, participated in LSU's annual Geaux Big day by cleaning up the backyard of a Baton Rouge resident. We also helped her establish a vegetable garden to be used by the children in the neighborhood.

STEM Nights
Making engineering accessible to every student
Through SPM I have worked with middle school and high school students in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. From lab demonstrations to snap circuit activities, the students are exposed to a wide array of engineering, hopefully making STEM less intimidating.
Geaux Hack
Hack-a-thon for Baton Rouge high school students
I assisted high school students as they constructed prototype code to support their own business proposals. I was also lucky enough to serve on the judging panel for the final presentations and give the students feedback on their projects.

Stella Artois Pour it Forward
Mississippi River Clean-up
During my time at Anheuser-Busch, the company hosted a river clean-up day for the Mississippi. We sorted trash collected from the river, separating different plastics to be recycled.
